Portreath is a lovely coastal village nestling in a wooded valley on the North Cornish Coast. The north coast is one of the most picturesque and dramatic with its world famous coastal path walks. Godrevy lighthouse is a 4 mile drive away with its fantastic cove normally full of seals.
Tehidy park and golf course is 1mile. Treasure park 2miles where the kids can pan for gold. Portreath has a lovely secluded sandy beach which is great for surfing or body boarding. The historic harbour now forms part of the world heritage site as one of the most important harbours for the export of locally mined tin and the import of coal. There are pubs ,restaurants and cafes in the village or for that special treat you could visit Trevaskis farm restaurant just 10 miles. Of coarse Portreath is an ideal base from which to explore cornwall being a short drive from the main A30. St.Ives with its Tate Gallery,St.Michaels Mount,Truro,The Eden project and the Maritime Museum all within easy reach.
